The executive agency of the British government that maintains the register of companies, employs the company registrars and is responsible for incorporating all forms of companies in the UK, Companies House is looking for a supplier to manufacture, store, administer, and distribute printed stationery – primarily envelopes.
It stated: “The contract requires the supplier to produce envelopes that meet detailed specifications and ensure appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit.
“Envelopes must be delivered to Companies House Cardiff, with the supplier maintaining stock levels and managing stock to prevent obsolescence.
“Regular updates on stock levels are required. Deliveries will be scheduled weekly, with flexibility to adjust based on demand. The supplier is also expected to suggest efficiency improvements and environmentally friendly solutions.”
With a stated value of £150,000 to £200,000, the closing date for the tender is 12pm on 7 February 2025. It will then start on 1 March 2025 and end on 31 March 2028.

Separately, the BFI (British Film Institute) is looking to update the Welcome Pack that is sent to all new and renewing BFI members. It requires a single supplier to provide all services required.
There will be a total of 27,000 packs mailed per year, across the year, in varying amounts with the biggest month being September at around 3,000 units.
The pack includes one A5 170gsm cardboard envelope and two insert cards, all printed double-sided CMYK on silk stock, in bulk, plus one degradable, printed membership card.
With a value up to £105,000, the tender closes at 12pm on 30 January 2025. The contract will then start on 1 April 2025 and end on 31 March 2027.
Finally, Derby City Council is undertaking a procurement to establish a contract with a stated value of £272,500 for elections and electoral registration bulk mailing, and printing services.
It stated: “The procurement process adopted by the Council is based on the ‘Open’ tendering procedure as detailed in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
“The contract period is two years; the contract is estimated to commence on 1 April 2025 and expire on 31 March 2027. There will be an option to extend the contract for three years in annual increments.”
The deadline for returns is 12pm on 10 February 2025.
