NUR Europe has revealed that further installations of its NUR Salsa 3200 wide-format digital printer are taking place in the UK following the supply of a new machine to Echo Studios.
London-based Echo provides a full graphics display service for the exhibition and retail markets and has recently moved into larger premises in Wimbledon.
The company said the addition of the 3200 would help it to compete with the larger players in the exhibition graphics field.
Stephen Lakin, NUR Eur-ope sales manager for the UK and Ireland, said machines had been installed at NEC Graphics in Birmingham, Melville in Woolwich (PrintWeek, 15 June), and a further site in Ireland.
Lakin also confirmed that the first order for the Fresco 1.8m-wide machine had been received from Fenn Signs & Graphics in Stoke-on-Trent.
He rebuffed claims that the firm had problems with some of its newer equipment. "Our competitors seem to be making mileage out of a negative campaign," he said.
"They are very reliable products otherwise, the companies would not keep on ordering them."
