London-based exhibition graphics specialist Melville Graphic Services has bought a second 3.2m-wide eight-colour NUR Salsa, four months after putting in its first.
Its most recent installation, an Ultima 3200, coincided with Melvilles relocation from Woolwich to a site across the Thames in Docklands.
Melville divisional manager Chris Holmes said: "We used a complicated test file, which incorporated a lot of contrast, detail and definition. The quality from the Salsa was far superior."
The firms move takes it closer to Excel, the capitals new exhibition centre, with which Melville has a three-year contract to produce exhibition signage.
"Well be doing 48- and 96-sheet jobs for Excel as well as smaller graphics. We need to turn jobs around quickly," said Holmes.
The Salsa Ultima uses CMYK with a CMYK light set to increase colour gamut. NUR claims the ink has an outdoor durability of two years UV and water resistance without coatings.
Melville Graphic Services is the graphics arm of the Melville Exhibition Services Group. It has four divisions in London, Glasgow, Docklands and Birmingham.
