Essex-based wide-format digital print specialist Imaginators has increased its production capacity with a Nur Fresco 3200.
The 3.2m-wide colour printer fills a gap in the firm's product portfolio between its 60in wide-
format machines and its 5m-wide Nur Blueboard ultra-wide format press.
"We had a gap in the market for in-store retail and exhibition graphics," said Imaginators production director Matt Tydeman. "The Blueboard had its limits at 150dpi and with smaller machines we had to tile for big in-store graphics."
Nur launched the Fresco HiQ 3200 this month. The machine adds extra features for improved image quality. All Fresco 1800s and 3200s can be upgraded in the field to the new specification, which offers a wider colour gamut, sharper text and improved front-end software. Upgrades cost 24,000 ($35,000).
As well as adding the new printer, Imaginators' parent company Swan Graphics has added design and photographic studios to its 1,395m2 premises, allowing it to offer a complete service from concept to print.
