The new Color branded range of high-quality water-based flexo inks and coatings includes products for flexo and gravure printing on food and industrial packaging.

Ultrachem business development manager for water-based flexo Geoff Woodacre said: “The full water-based flexo ink product portfolio encompasses inks for corrugated and pre-print, wide-web flexo packaging and wide-web tissue printing as well as a range for the confectionery industry, which is highly ISEGA certified.”

Inks for applications including labels, paper sacks and gift wrapping papers are also part of the Color range.

Additionally, Ultrachem has strengthened its portfolio of UV flexo varnishes by adding UV Fast Bond Adhesive and also developed the PrimaFlex Solutions range of wash-ups, ultrasonic cleaners and additives.

All of the wash-up products are supplied in Ecovent containers, which are designed to empty smoothly and accurately without glugging of the liquid, therefore avoiding dangerous splashing during discharge.

Ultrachem director Jan Brinton said: “The new additions to our portfolio will strengthen our offering in specialist growing markets. Our ability to make bespoke products to overcome specific problems and production issues sets us apart from our competitors.”

At Drupa Ultrachem launched a range of UV washes and fount solutions that are also suitable for hybrid UV printing.
