The company, the exclusive distributor of Hexis products in the UK, said the product was suitable for a wide range of projects including graphics on lorries, vans, cars, motorcycles, caravans and boats, and can be used for reverse lettering applications onto glass and acrylic for shop fronts and interiors.
The Suptac S5000 Series is an opaque European-grade 100% polymeric PVC vinyl with a high-gloss finish.
Hexis UK managing director Scott Wilkins said the series was durable for up to 10 years and good for signage applications including complex, curved or flat surfaces for signs or shop windows.
“Our target audience is companies making durable vehicle graphics and architectural signs. If a truck has to go to Alaska you don't want the shrinkage or deformation of graphics or letters.
“Another big selling point is the colour range, which has become a big issue for sign makers; they want a bigger array of shades.
“More and more people are wanting bespoke skin-tone or fleet colours for specific jobs and they need the materials in smaller quantities.”
The 65µm/2.55mil polymeric PVC is available in lengths from 1m to 30m, and according to the manufacturer cuts and weeds easily, making it ideal for very small lettering, fonts with fine serifs and thin lines.
Widths range from 380mm up to 1,520mm making it suitable for covering large hoardings and boards, Hexis said of the series, which is backed with an industrial-grade, permanent, solvent acrylic adhesive.
The typical cost for 619mm thick black vinyl in a roll of 30m is around £2 per metre. The product can be wet-applied and resists low- and high-temperature extremes and high humidity, the company said.
The range is supplied on a silicone-coated Kraft liner to ensure good grip and better accuracy in cutting on friction-fed plotters, the company said.
“The Suptac Series of coloured vinyl is an excellent addition to our range of coloured sign vinyl media,” said Wilkins. “It is versatile and can be used for multiple signage applications.”
