They are A5000 Smartac Evolution cuttable coloured films for sign making as well as HX500WG2 and HXL300WG2 for digital printing applications. Prices range from £7.85/sqm to £9.34/sqm.
Designed to reduce impact on the environment compared to PVC films, they contain no PVC, chlorine, solvents, plasticisers or heavy metals in their chemical formulation.
Hexis UK managing director Scott Wilkins said: “These new ranges can be used for indoor and outdoor applications and offer excellent durability. They are easy to install, easy to remove and have no negative impact on the environment.”
The A5000 Smartac Evolution coloured films for signage applications is a high-performance next-generation 60μm high-gloss cast polyurethane film.
The film comes in 15 colours including metallic and is suitable for flat, concave or convex surfaces. Its high gloss makes the product durable for long- and short-term lettering outdoors.
A5000 Smartac Evolution also has a clear solvent industrial-grade acrylic adhesive that can be wet-applied. It resists lower and higher temperatures as well as high humidity.
PVC and phthalate-free A5000 Smartac Evolution offers easy weeding down to 3mm. Its green credentials make it suitable in schools, hospitals and children’s play areas.
Hexis HX500WG2 for digital printing applications is a 50μm cast polyurethane high-gloss film designed for the ‘greener’ wrapping of vehicles.
It is compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable inks and offers better ink diffusion, optimised ink consumption and ink savings to cut overall ink costs.
It incorporates Hex’Press grey solvent adhesive technology to aid quick application onto vehicles and helps eliminate air bubbles. HX500WG2 has been specified for Tesla electric cars.
Hexis HXL300WG2 is a next-generation, very high-gloss 100μm cast latex film for flat and slightly curved surfaces such as billboards, hoardings, posters, wall and vehicle graphics.
As with the HX500WG2 film, HXL300WG2 is compatible with eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable inks and offers enhanced printing properties, according to the company.
Hexis A5000 Smartac Evolution comes in 610mm and 1,230mm widths and in roll lengths in multiples of 5m up to 30m. Prices start from £7.85/sqm.
HX500WG2 can be purchased in 45m rolls in widths of 1,370mm and 1,520mm, with pricing starting from £9.34/sqm.
HXL300WG2 can be purchased in 40m rolls in a width of 1,370mm, with pricing starting from £8.64/sqm.

And two months the firm rolled out a new solvent-free film for hot transfer applications onto pre-washed cotton, polyester and Lycra sportswear, t-shirts and hats.
