The 70µm film, which is available with immediate effect, is suitable for standard solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV inkjet printing and its solvent acrylic adhesive sticks to a variety of surfaces, including glass, steel, aluminum, PVC, acrylic and melamine.
Hexis said V200WG1 is backed with a premium-quality, moisture-stable digital printing liner, which stays flat during the entire printing and conversion process.
The silicone layer is said to enable easy release of the printed vinyl when the final application to the substrate is made.
The product can be applied to both flat and slightly curved surfaces and can be applied either wet or dry. It can resist low and high temperatures and high humidity conditions.
Hexis said the V200WG1 is fast drying and can be handled almost as soon as it is out of the printer. It added that the film has a low shrinkage rate and that compatible Hexis V750 series laminate films are available in both gloss and matt finishes to enhance the durability of the output.
Hexis UK managing director Scott Wilkins said: “The film is coated in France to very exacting standards and has high opacity. This is a huge benefit when applying the product onto darker coloured vehicles – and differentiates it from competitive fleet graphic films.
“V200WG1 is also available in other adhesive options including clear permanent, clear removable and black removable. The product series also includes a white matt and clear gloss face film, so it offers the perfect complete solution for fleet graphics.”
Unprinted V200WG1 film has long-term outdoor durability of up to eight years under central European climate standards (vertical outdoor exposure). The product is guaranteed for five years outdoors under the same conditions when printed and laminated.
A variety of widths are available from UK stock including 760mm, 1,050mm, 1,370mm and 1,600mm. Standard rolls are 45m in length although the product can also be purchased in multiples of 5m rolls for smaller job requirements. 100m rolls are available as a special order.
Pricing starts from £2.90 per sqm when purchasing a full roll (1,370mmx45m).
Hexis UK has also recently launched HFlex 100p, a new solvent-free film for hot-transfer applications, the Suptac S5000 Series range of premium polymeric coloured sign vinyl and HX30000 Super Chrome, a new range of cast films for temporary vehicle wrapping applications.
