Taylor said his elevation to the main board reflected the importance Xerox placed on the sector; it is the first time graphic arts has been represented at this level.
This is really key for the market, said Taylor. It really reflects our commitment to it. Very few director appointments are made in [Xerox] Europe.
The appointment was also in recognition of the contribution the UK made to the overall graphic arts market in Europe. Some 35% of Xerox Europes graphic arts revenue comes from the UK.
Taylor, 35, was appointed as director of graphic arts just over a year ago and has been reporting to director of production business Anoush Gordon.
Peacock, who has been with Xerox for 22 years and was most recently head of its monochrome business unit, was appointed to replace Stephen Cronin. Cronin has been promoted to executive chief of staff for Xeroxs developing markets operations.
