The trade printer in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, spent £170,000 on the kit, powered by Fujifilm XMF workflow, which outputs 40 Brillia plates an hour.
Managing director Ian Wright said: "It increases our hourly and daily capacity by 56% and screen shots are easier to use on the workflow system.
"XMF is more reliable and user-friendly. Margin for error has reduced massively and we have less worry when preparing plates and proofs."
The company, which produces continuous business forms, brochures, books and folders, replaced an older, slower Screen Kodak system.
The deal, which included an Epson proofer and supply of plates for three years, was signed with Offset Supplies.
"Fujifilm’s XMF workflow, combined with its Zac processor and LH-PJE Brillia plates, proved to be the most reliable and productive solution," Wright said.
"Since using Fujifilm’s processor and plates, our chemistry use and waste have dramatically reduced and costs have gone down."
Wright employs 55 staff and has a turnover of £6m. He aims to grow business by 40%-50% in three years and has already increased staff by 12% in 18 months.
Wright Printing Services runs 15 web and sheetfed presses, from reel-to-reel and reel-to-sheet Mullers to Morgana kit for the continuous business forms.
The firm recently replaced a long-standing bespoke MIS with an Accura system, fully integrated to give the firm visibility into shop-floor data.
