Wes Lucas joined the inks giant on Wednesday (1 August) in the role of president, reporting directly to Dyner.

While I retain the title and responsibilities of chief executive officer... Wes has been hired with the intent that he will become Sun Chemical CEO when I retire," Dyner said in his announcement to staff.

Lucas, who is 39, is described as having a strong background in sales growth, operational productivity, building companies and start-ups. His career includes spells with Chevron, McKinsey and Nova Chemicals.
Dyners retirement date has not yet been set.

In Europe, David Meldram, currently vice president of finance, has been named as the successor to Andy Cova, Suns executive vice president and general manager of Europe who retires at the end of the year.

Four senior directors running Sun divisions in the UK and Europe: Charles Murray, Richard Pettifor, John Gowlett and Martin Marinov, have all been promoted to corporate vice presidents.
