Fespa 2025 stand highlights

The wide-format sector’s big annual shindig is back, this year hosted in trendy and vibrant Berlin, with a focus on innovation and the potential within the sector.

Here are our highlights of what's on the stands.

Adobe 27-A62

Adobe is to unveil the latest version of its PDF Print Engine, which enables direct PDF RIPping without conversion to PostScript, avoiding potential errors for PDF files. The US-based developer has not published details on what will be included in version 7, but it’s likely to incorporate further elements of AI technology as well as updates to help preflight increasingly complex PDFs.

Agfa 27-D60, 27-D70

Agfa will unveil a new version of its high-end multi-pass inkjet Jeti Tauro H3300 platform, although details had not been released at time of going to press. The new model, the H3300 XUHS, is expected to be a larger model of the UHS (ultra high-speed) version released in 2023. The UHS model is capable of printing on rigid and flexible materials up to 3.3m wide at up to 905sqm/hr. The Belgian manufacturer is marketing the new machine as “Bigger. Faster. Bolder.” It will also showcase a new Onset model, the Panthera FB3216.

Antigro Designer 5.2-A32

The Polish developer will launch DTF Gang Sheet Builder add-on for its white-label personalisation software that creates print-ready files from a customer’s own designs.

Berger Textiles 4.2-A21

Berger Textiles will debut its new Ghost, Shade and Barrier soft signage products.

Ghost is a 100%-PES white-back blockout fabric, engineered for backing of freestanding backlit displays such as backdrops, frames and pop-ups.

Shade is an opaque, PVC-free banner solution with an acrylic coating for durability and easy cleaning. Shade also features a grey backing.

Barrier is a 100% polyester textile with a uniform distribution of holes for improved ventilation, while providing a durable, more-sustainable alternative to traditional PVC mesh products. It is strong and tear-resistant yet soft and foldable, well-suited for building and fence mesh projects.

Brother 2.2-C30

Japanese firm Brother will be launching the latest addition to its GTX600 range of industrial-level garment printers and new DTF print systems said to offer “exceptional print quality, industrial quality, and efficiency”. The GTX600 DTG printer has a maximum platen size of 610x610mm and uses water-based pigment inks. It has four printheads and can print in single or double CMYK plus undercoat and white. It is said to be able to process up to 460 dark shirts over an eight-hour shift. The most recently launched model, GTX600 Extra Colors, added orange and green inks.

Caldera 27-C55

Caldera, the French developer of workflow systems for wide-format printing will launch version 4.0 of PrimeCenter, its file preparation package, which includes features such as automated editing and image nesting. Caldera says the system is compatible with any RIP on the market.

Canon 25-B10

The Canon stand will showcase highlights from the Japanese manufacturer’s extensive line-up of wide-format kit. The Arizona 2300 flatbed will be front and centre with the company emphasising the benefits of FLXflow technology, which assists with materials handling on the bed and can manage a wide array of media, from rigid and heavy to delicate or flexible.

Also on show will be a model from Canon’s Colorado M series of 1.6m-wide roll-to-roll UVgel printers, said to offer versatile production at entry-level cost.

In terms of workflow, Canon will be spotlighting its Prisma XL Suite, which is designed to help wide-format graphics designers and printers simplify and automate production of complex jobs, while helping them to maximise the uptime of their machines.

Also on stand will be the Canon imagePrograf GP-6600S, its 1.6m-wide seven-colour poster printer aimed at retailers.

Canon is launching an update of its PosterArtist, a web-based software package that offers auto-generated design proposals, access to millions of stock photos and powerful colour management.

The company’s technology will also be on show on partner stands, including Fotoba (25-B20), which will be showing a modular solution for mass-customised automated wallpaper production, using Canon UVgel technology.

There will also be a UVgel ‘packaging factory’ demonstrated on the Neolt stand, next to the Canon stand.

CMS 27-E40

Italian machinery maker CMS will unveil a new generation of three-, four- and five-axis CNC nesting centres for drilling and routing. The Tracer 200X and 300X are intended for drilling and routing plastics sheets with features aimed at advanced nesting and parts manufacture.

Corel 3.2-A51

Corel will unveil the 2025 edition of its flagship CorelDraw Suite of graphic design packages. The biggest upgrade is likely to be CorelDraw Web, a browser-based version of the suite, which will be available for subscribers. Corel says the web-based offering replicates the full CorelDraw experience in the cloud, “enabling seamless design flexibility like never before”. It enables designers to use powerful vector tools and cloud storage, and is said to offer easy integration with the desktop app.

CWT Worktools 25-D40

CWT Worktools, a Swedish manufacturer of post-processing kit for the signage and printing industry, will launch the latest addition to its advantage series of flatbed applicators, the 1736 Advantage. The company says this 3.64x1.72m applicator table is ideal for producing smaller signs, posters and road signs. It comes with an illuminated tabletop and castors as standard features.

DGI/D.gen 1.2-B30

Inkjet printer manufacturer DGI will show its Poseidon II roll-to-roll dye-sub printer, which was launched last year. It can print at up to 760sqm/hr, using Kyocera printheads, in up to eight colours and can accommodate a maximum media width of 1.82m.

Digidelta Digital Dimension 6.2-A20

Portuguese substrates specialist Digidelta will debut its Biond printing and décor films, which are said to be more sustainable than alternatives while maintain print quality. The company says the films are free from PVC, plasticisers and other harmful additives, ensuring a reduced environmental footprint.

Drytac 4.2-A10

UK adhesive films manufacturer Drytac will have new products on its stand. Polar Grip Air polymeric self-adhesive PVC film is intended for long-life use in challenging environments.

The high bond grey adhesive enables the permanent application of graphics to any surface, such as metal, plastic, wood, glass, brick and more, Drytac says.

Polar Frost Air is described as a premium translucent matte polymeric film with a subtle embossed finish that simulates the look of etched glass. It is a 3.6mil (90μ) translucent matte polymeric PVC film with an embossed pearl finish. It is coated with a clear permanent adhesive that is protected by a two-sided PE coated release liner with bubble-free technology. Polar Frost Air can be used printed or unprinted to enhance any environment.

Durst 27-B35

Durst says it will present a “groundbreaking innovation” for sublimation printing, specifically a superwide platform with integrated inline fixation, but is not providing any further details ahead of the show. The company is also promising to unveil a new printer platform for fabrics printing, but again details are scant.

What we do know will be on the stand is a P5 350, a hybrid system for roll and rigid printing up to 3.5m and at up to 708sqm/hr. Durst says that the machine’s fast media changes, easy maintenance handling and full safety can boost users productivity.

Also on show will be the P5 X, Durst’s latest flatbed with an optional roll-to-roll function. The manufacturer says the print quality, automation features and seamless workflow integration make it a good choice for those looking to streamline production without compromising on precision. It features magnetic linear motors for precise and reliable positioning across the entire work area, a high-performance vacuum table with 12 selectable zones and reversible airflow and 10 colour channels.

Ecotech 5.2-C35

Ecotech is a Chinese manufacturer of textiles for signage and home décor sectors. It will be launching a new printable flooring product – a translucent, thick PVC floor film, printed on the reverse side so images are protected.

EFI 3.2-A20

EFI will be showing off its new superwide Vutek M3h hybrid LED printer, hybrid UV LED platform that handles a diverse range of rigid and flexible substrates and applications. From traditional materials to unique and speciality media, this printer enables users to access new markets and differentiate their offering. It can handle flexible and rigid substrates up to 3.2m wide and up to 50mm thick. It prints in CMYK plus white as standard and offers a top resolution of 2,440dpi.

Also on show will be the Pro 30f+, a flatbed LED printer that can deliver “high-quality imaging at production speeds and even more printing capabilities – all with a low total cost of ownership”, according to the manufacturer. Unveiled last summer, Pro 30f+ offers image quality with resolutions up to 1,200dpi and true variable drop greyscale printing with a 5pL drop size. It achieves speeds up to 25% faster than the original Pro 30f printer.

Elitron 27-C50

Italian robotic cutting and automation specialist Elitron will be focused on how printers can increase overall precision and productivity through the use of its kit. On show will be the Spark C 19.16, compact, multifunction conveyor which offers cutting with optional loading and unloading. Features include four multitools for cutting, milling, and creasing materials up to 20mm thick; the integrated, patented vision system, Seeker System, which automatically recognises printed images and reference marks and a working speed of up to 70m/min, acceleration 0.8G.

Also on show will be the Kombo THC 32.20, a large-format, multifunction, conveyor cutting system with dual heads, and the Kombo SD+ SDC+ Series, multifunction, fixed and conveyor cutting systems with automation.

Enfocus 27-B76

Enfocus is promising to demonstrate the effectiveness of its new AI-driven planning and imposition package, Phoenix. The Belgian developer said that Phoenix can “clone” a printer’s production environment and uses AI to calculate the best options, schedule jobs and estimate costs effectively.

Epson 2.2-A20

Epson will show the new SureColor S7100 wide-format signage printer it announced in March. The S7100 is a four-colour eco-solvent printer that can handle media from 300mm to 1.626m. It features an upgraded PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, measuring 1.33in wide, which Epson said enabled faster printing, and an expanded print width in a single pass, increasing the number of nozzles from 360 to 400.

It also features Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT), an automated nozzle condition detection system that alerts users to any issues, boasts larger 800ml ink packs, and a robust media feeding system that Epson said ensured accurate media handling and would reduce potential damage through enhanced tension control and a reinforced media feed roller.

Fotoba  25-B20

Italian machinery maker Fotoba will be showing a complete digitally printed wallpaper factory for unattended production, comprising a Fotoba JRL170 motorised Jumbo roll media loader model, a Canon Colorado 1640/1650 printer and an inline Fotoba Cutter XLD170WP and Rewinder REW162.

The factory can operate at a top speed of 18m/min, has a maximum cutting width of 1.7m and has an XY accuracy of 1mm.

Fujifilm 25-B60/A61

Fujifilm will use Fespa to launch the new HS3000 single-pass printer and the Acuity Triton with Aquafuze ink technology. Stand B60 will feature the Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro, as well as the new Fujifilm and Barber an single-pass HS3000 inkjet press. Stand A61, meanwhile, will showcase the formal launch of Fujifilm’s Acuity Triton and Aquafuze ink technology, which was previewed at Drupa.

The Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro printer enables users to change quickly and easily between roll and rigid media jobs, while the machine also features a ‘quick run’ option with a small-roll function integrated into the bed, allowing short-roll jobs to be carried out on the fly.

The 3.3m-wide Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro uses patented Fujifilm ink technology that adheres to a wide variety of media and is especially designed for both rigid and roll substrates.

The machine is equipped with up to 32 long-life Kyocera printheads, each delivering a 3.5pl drop size and up to 10,624 nozzles per colour, and a CMYK plus light cyan, light magenta and white ink configuration.

Commercially available soon after Fespa, Fujifilm said the Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro could also be seamlessly integrated with a comprehensive new automation system that is designed for the automatic handling of rigid materials, allowing one single operator to run the machine for a full pallet-to-pallet process.

The HS3000 single-pass inkjet printer, developed by Fujifilm and Barberan, is a smaller, lower-volume alternative to the top-end HS6000, which is capable of production volumes up to 6,000sqm/hr.

Fujifilm said it also has a “slightly smaller footprint, slightly lower speed and a lower investment cost” than the HS6000.

The HS series operates 600dpi printheads while maintaining small droplet sizes of 5pl.

With manual feed options from 600 boards per hour through to automation options at 2,000 boards per hour, the HS series can be field upgraded if business needs change.

Finally, Fujifilm is introducing its new ink technology, Aquafuze, with the debut of the Acuity Triton printer.

Manufactured in Japan by Mutoh, this 1.6m-wide printer has been specifically designed to harness the power of Aquafuze, offering a cost-effective and energy-efficient alternative to traditional water-based printing systems.

Aquafuze ink is said to produce thin-film, low-pile prints with sharp detail and a smooth, scratch-resistant finish, eliminating the need for a top coat. The prints are highly durable and suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The Acuity Triton can print at speeds of up to 15sqm/hr.

GCC LaserPro 3.2-A25

Taiwanese manufacturer GCC LaserPro will unveil two new machines.

The Piolas 400 is GCC LaserPro’s latest and most advanced laser engraving machine. It boasts an engraving speed of 175 IPS, an extra-large working area and easy positioning with the company’s SmartEyes CCD technology, which GCC says ensures precise engraving and exceptionally high throughput.

Also new is the Spirit GLS Hybrid Pro, the latest enhancement to the renowned Spirit GLS Hybrid series. Featuring dual laser capabilities of CO₂ and Fiber options, it delivers efficiency, precision, and reliability for engraving, cutting, and marking both non-metallic and metallic materials, according to GCC.

Gongzheng Group 27-E10

Chinese manufacturer Gongzheng Group has a raft of new products to show off.

The H3220GN UV flatbed has a print size of 3.2x2m and utilises up to eight Ricoh Gen6 printheads for printing on a wide range of materials including acrylic, foam board, glass, ceramics, PVC and aluminium. The single- phase machine can print in CMYK plus white (or double white) at a maximum resolution of 726x2,400dpi.

Also on show is the Asparas G4P roll-fed fabric printer, which employs four Epson I3200 A1 heads, to print at up to 148sqm/hr (draft mode). It has a maximum resolution of 2,400dpi and a maximum print width of just under 2m.

Also new is the ThunderJet AQ1800UV, a quality-oriented, multi-purpose LED-UV printer with a width of 1.8m. It features up to four Epson I3200 UI printheads and is particularly well-suited to multi-layer print applications, according to the manufacturer. Suggested applications include banners, coated PP, vinyl, textiles and PVC or PET film.

HP  4.2-A20

HP will be focusing on its Latex technology at the show, with the US giant’s latest machine taking centre stage. The Latex R530 HP is hybrid printer capable of handling rigid substrates as well as roll media. It is billed as an “all-in-one” device that enables printers to do away with ‘print and mount’ techniques and target high-value jobs at a lower cost.

The new printer has been designed as a standalone model in HP’s Latex line-up, acting as a potential upgrade for printers using the firm’s 800-series Latex roll-to-roll models that are looking to break into direct printing on rigid substrates.

A key feature of the new machine is its wheel-away tables for rigid materials, which transform the machine from roll-to-roll to flatbed within seconds.

Daniel Martinez, general manager of HP’s large format division, told Printweek that HP had decided to develop the hybrid machine after seeing significant growth in the rigid application market.

“It’s a revolutionary product, and probably one of the most significant launches we’ve had in the Latex space in many years – so we’re extremely excited,” he said.

Also on stand will a model from the 630 series, a versatile 1.63m-wide roll-fed printer that uses water-based latex inks and was launched in 2023 and is targeted at entry-level customers.

HP will also be demonstrating its new PrintOS Production Hub software.

Billed as a “new home and experience” within the PrintOS suite, it will provide printers an end-to-end platform to allow print managers to create orders, access their order history and customer information history, and track orders across their workflow, sending them directly to printers through the RIP.

“We see see great opportunities around enabling smaller PSPs to digitise their workflow to really drive efficiency,” Martinez said.

Inkcups 27-A50

US-based Inkcups is a specialist in inkjet printing systems and best known for its machines for printing on cylindrical surfaces. The company says it will be unveiling a brand new machine but is keeping details under wraps until the show opens.

Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems 27-C70

Kongsberg PCS will showcase two of its high-end cutting solutions for the print and signage industry, designed to help customers maximise productivity.

The Kongsberg Ultimate 24 is a high-productivity digital cutting table for corrugated and display production. Designed for continuous, high-speed operations, it offers 2.7G acceleration and cutting speeds over 165m/min.

The Kongsberg C24 is a large-format cutting table powered by a 3kW continuous-duty high-performance milling unit that can be configured for milling applications ranging from sporadic, light-duty routing to lengthy jobs to working with heavy-duty materials. It features 1.7G acceleration and speeds up to 100m/min.

Kornit  2.2-C20

Kornit will be showing the Apollo, its high-throughput, fully automated digital direct-to-garment printing system that can output up to 400 impressions per hour, cured and ready to despatch. Each can be a one-off, or part of a long run. It’s intended for volume production of shirts or hoodies (with or without pockets) and variations, where each image can be unique and it can instantly switch from handling white to coloured materials.

Mimaki  1.2-B20

Mimaki is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and will unveil the latest addition to its Tx330 series at the show, the Tx330-1800. The Tx330 Series printers are said to offer extensive textile printing capabilities and are able to print on a variety of materials with minimal wastewater.

The roll-fed printers have dual inkset capability to easily switch between textile pigment inks and dye-sub inks.

The Tx330-1800 can print on both fabric and paper, making it suitable for producing textile signage and interior fabrics. It prints at 1.8m wide in up to eight colours.

Meanwhile, the Tx330-1800B uses a space-saving belt conveyor to stably print on stretchy, thick, and thin fabrics commonly used for apparel, suitable for producing short-run and varied apparel in small spaces, such as offices, schools, and retail stores.

To accompany the Tx330 series, Mimaki is also introducing TxLink5 textile RIP software. This latest version of the TxLink software is designed to further improve the workflow in environments with multiple printers, which allows for users to manage their printing processes more efficiently.

Also set to debut at Fespa is a new direct-to-film (DTF) UV printer that can effectively produce stickers made of just ink and varnish, which can then be applied to objects of all shapes and sizes.

The 650mm-wide UJV300DTF-75 prints onto film at up to 1,200dpi. Fitted with six colour channels, the machine uses a combination of Mimaki’s new generation of UV inks to produce a ‘hard’ layer of white, printed over in CMYK ‘soft’ inks, with a ‘hard’ layer of clear ink over the top.

The new generation inks, ELS-170 and ELH-100 will likewise be launched at Fespa, having been designed specifically to comply with the EU’s REACH regulations.

The setup allows printers to produce print on film that can then be peeled and directly applied to objects of irregular shapes or sizes that would otherwise be impossible to print on in a rotary ‘kebab’ style printer or flatbed. No curing is required to adhere the print to the object.

Mutoh Europe 27-B65

Brand new on the Mutoh stand will be the HydrAton 1642, a new 64in (1.62m-wide) roll-to-roll printer featuring water-based UV technology, announced earlier this year.

First previewed at Drupa last year, the device is now available for sale through Mutoh’s resellers and partners in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The HydrAton 1642 uses Aquafuze, an advanced UV-curable water-based ink technology developed by Fujifilm. This hybrid ink system combines the benefits of water-based and UV-curable inks, utilising Fujifilm’s proprietary dispersion technology to offer low-VOC, low-odour printing.

Aquafuze adheres to a wide range of substrates, including non-porous materials, without the need for primers or adhesion promoters.

Also on show will be the XpertJet 1682UR roll-to-roll printer, also previewed at Drupa; the XpertJet C641SR Pro, Mutoh’s first-ever integrated print and cut device; the versatile XpertJet 1682UR roll-to-roll printer; and the XpertJet 1462UF A1+ format printer shown at Fespa 2024.

Plockmatic International 4.2-A45

Plockmatic will have new machines from UK arm Intec Printing Solutions on its stand.

The ColorCut SC7000 Pro-T is a digital die-cutter intended for automated, unattended sheet cutting/creasing for lightweight cards, packaging, POS and kiss-cut sheet labels. Two models feature the same tool set but with different sheet processing sizes. The base model cuts up to 710x330mm sheets and the XL model offers B2-plus handling up to 740x545mm. They combine reliable feeding with an instant job retrieval system and high-speed cutting. Their dual tool head provides tangential creasing and contour cutting, according to Plockmatic.

Also new is the FB9500 Pro-T, an automated, tangential creasing high-speed digital die-cutter. The company says the machine’s USPs are its tight media control and sophisticated, but user-friendly functionality. It is aimed at high-quality packaging, POS and label applications.

Finally, the ColorCut FB1190-T is the latest addition in the FB1100 Series, designed to handle media 800x1,100mm, introducing the ability to cut a wider range of media with its tangential cutting and creasing, with an effective cutting area of up to 680x1,000mm.

Featuring a four-tool head with both drag/swivel and tangential capabilities the FB1190-T has increased cutting and creasing forces. Plockmatic says this offers “outstanding results” on FBB and SBB packaging boards and provides a wider range to include N, E and F fluted boards for packaging and point of sale applications.

Plockmatic acquired Intec in 2022.

SwissQprint 27-C60

SwissQprint will debut its latest generation of flatbed printers, which the Swiss manufacturer says are 23% faster than their predecessors.

Based off a totally reworked platform that includes a new printer base, new beam, and new printhead carriage, the Generation 5 series consists of the high-end Kudu, now enhanced, along with the new Nyala 5 and Impala 5 printers.

The electronics and software are also new while the UV LED printers come equipped with linear motors that have helped to make them faster and more precise.

The printers come with 10 freely configurable colour channels and can handle substrates up to 50mm thick. Addressable resolution on all three machines is up to 1,350dpi.

Ufabrik 3.2-A40

UK-headquartered Ufabrik manufactures textiles for digital printing, supplying manufacturers and global brands. Its top-end display textiles are suitable for 95% of retail, exhibition and event applications and are available in widths of 1.6m, 3.2m, and 5m. On show will be its comprehensive range of backlit, blackback, display and stretch display materials for all digital printing technologies.

Zünd 27-B30

Zünd will be demonstrating how a combination of powerful cutting technology, intelligent software, and innovative solutions for automated material handling can make digital cutting efficient and versatile.

Visitors to the stand will be able to see a Zünd S3 cutter configured for cutting rolled goods as well as challenging board materials. No less versatile and powerful, its big brother, the Zünd G3, will also be demonstrating its capabilities live including automated, robotic material handling and parts removal with the PortaBase 175 system.
