Buyers can order stock in quantities up to 10,000 copies by uploading a PDF, with guaranteed delivery within five days.
The online arm also offers a design service for products such as flyers and letterheads. Jobs can be produced on a range of substrates up to 120gsm.
Work is printed on the firm's Heidelberg litho battery, which includes a four-colour Speedmaster SM 74, a five-colour Speedmaster CD 74 and a two-colour Speedmaster 102.
Finishing is done in-house on kit that includes Stahl folders and two Polar guillotines.
S&G marketing executive Karen Connolly told printweek.com that the group "identified a space in the market" and had the equipment and setup to move into the sector.
"The print purchasing process is made much easier, especially for repeat orders. It could very well be the start of a stronger trend in the market," Connolly added.
SGC Direct joins other S&G divisions that include SGC Printing, Pelican Print Finishing and S&G Magazines, which prints more than 300 magazines each month.
