S&G makes play for Scottish market

Welsh magazine and commercial print group Stephens & George (S&G) is to open a Scottish office as part of its plan to increase its presence north of the border.

The office will be based in St Andrew Square, Edinburgh, and run by sales manager Mark Eaton.

This is the family-run group’s second regional base outside its Merthyr Tydfil headquarters. It already operates a sales unit in Pimlico, London.

S&G, headed by group managing director Andrew Jones (pictured), was founded in 1912. As well as its core S&G Magazines operation, it also runs commercial printer SGC Printing, finishing and mailing unit S&G Bindery and Pelican Print Finishing. The entire group employs around 200 staff.
