Did you know the printing industry has a one-man version of the Good Housekeeping taste test, with a specific focus on shop-bought mince pies?
An early heads up: Best Shop Bought Mince Pie 2018 so far is @sainsburys All Butter - good pastry with tasty aromatic, succulent filling. 7 brands of #MincePies tasted and still going!

Step forward Andrew Barnes, managing director at Multiflow Print in Bicester for whom this is an annual taste quest.
Last year the Sainsbury’s All Butter ‘Taste the Difference’ knocked Iceland’s Luxury Mince Pies off top spot. And in 2018 we can reveal that, at the time of typing, the Sainsbury’s All Butter was heading his rankings again (see below), with eight brands of mince pie put to Andrew’s taste test so far. However, the M&S All Butter had made a late-breaking entry into the top three.
Important note: Andrew sticks to the traditional, unadulterated mince pie, which we think is a wise move having tasted Aldi’s ‘salted caramel’ variant which went down like, well, a salted caramel mince pie [badly] here at PrintWeek Towers.
