Thanks to Swanline Print’s promotional video (find it at www.swanlineprint.co.uk) featuring Slade’s former frontman that particular earworm has been implanted in the PrintWeek team’s heads since the beginning of the month. Why? Because Overmatter only has to see a picture of Noddy Holder to start asking whether it’s time to start hanging up stockings. 

No matter that this isn’t in any way a seasonally themed promo, a hat-tip goes to Swanline for an inspired choice of host for this video tour of its site, during which we were delighted to see that Slade’s former frontman has lost none of his joie de vivre, and his lung power is clearly as awesome as ever. 

The snappy video involves Holder, resplendent in a suitably loud outfit involving orange plaid, touring the various areas of Swanline’s facility. 

Occasionally bellowing “Am I right everybody”, he moves from process to process, and upon entering the factory floor dons a fluorescent safety jacket complete with matching orange plaid trim. 

And wait, what’s this? Swanline also happened to have a job involving orange plaid sheets on-press, as well as some packaging for ‘Noddy’s Nuggets’. At this point Holder is seen wielding a glue gun, and we get a brief bellow of “Ma ma ma ma ma ma ma”. 

Now we’re all crazy for Christmas, Noddy and Swanline.
