What positives are you able to draw on from the experiences of 2024?
2024 has been a really exciting and eventful year for us. Opening up a new print facility in the UK has provided so many opportunities for all involved and proved print is very much alive. We have had so many positive reactions and here to provide a service to customers, which we like to think is a very personal and professional service aimed at providing the customer exactly what they visualise their products will look like – and in the timescale they require.
What trend (business or technology) do you think has dominated 2024?
With the paper market continuing to increase prices I think it’s been hard for print to continue without saving money in other areas. Quality and choice of placement of work has been tough with many smaller firms being driven out of the market. As a business we always try to involve the local suppliers and businesses around our sites. It’s important to help local businesses in a tough economy.
What do you think will represent the single biggest opportunity for printers in 2025 and why?
I think 2025 will be a good year for printers. I think there is opportunity to look at getting some of the European work back onto UK soil and capitalise on any opportunities that arise.
What are your hopes for 2025?
As always, I hope for health and happiness – excuse the cliché but after the many years spent working in the UK and Europe you appreciate that money can’t buy those attributes.
What piece of advice do you wish you had been given in December 2023 to prepare you for the year you’ve just had?
To trust my instincts. Luckily I’ve had a really good year this year with lots of exciting times and some really good contracts. It looks like this will continue next year.
Sprouts, yes or no?
