What positives are you able to draw on from the experiences of 2024?
We have managed profitable growth of 12% this year – that’s pretty positive. We are now part of a much larger US business (Moss Inc), which has been super exciting for the business as we can offer our customers wider reach into Europe and the USA.
What trend (business or technology) do you think has dominated 2024?
Shorter lead times getting even shorter!
What do you think will represent the single biggest opportunity for printers in 2025 and why?
AI – people need to lose the fear around this and embrace the opportunities for speed and automation – or get left behind.
What are your hopes for 2025?
A stronger economy. The government needs to really listen to business instead of punishing us – the Budget was not a good start in the relationship. Move closer to Europe – Brexit has not done us any favours.
What piece of advice do you wish you had been given in December 2023 to prepare you for the year you’ve just had?
Do sweat the small stuff.
What was your word or phrase of the year in 2024?
Can we do it faster?
What, if anything, will you do differently in 2025?
Listen more, talk less.
What did you think of Drupa 2024?
I didn't attend.
What’s your favourite Christmas cracker joke?
I got mugged by six dwarves yesterday, not happy.
Sprouts, yes or no?
Absolutely yes – love them – baked/fried/boiled.
Are you making any New Year's resolutions? If so, what?
Try and be more patient.
