KIP launches wide-format digi press

KIP UK has launched what it claims is its most powerful digital wide format reprographics press to date, the KIP9000.

The system has been designed to accurately reproduce drawings and designs created using CAD software.

The press offers a maximum print resolution of 600 x 600dpi and can produce up to 22 A1 prints per minute.

It prints from all major software packages on Windows, Linux, Mac or Unix platforms and includes native DWF batch processing to print complex drawings at optimum quality.

The KIP9000 can process full colour originals to output in greyscale mode using its 600dpi print engine. It also allows for colour originals to be scanned in full colour and copied to a colour inkjet printer.

The press includes the manufacturer's PrintNet software, which can receive files electronically from anywhere in the world via a web browser.

In addition, the KIP9000 has an open architecture that will easily integrate into existing information management systems.

KIP UK managing director Chris Hill said the wide-format press "raises the bar for fast, top quality reproduction. It meets head on the challenges presented by fast changing business environments."

He added the 9000 is "ideal in high demand environments such as centralised reprographics, print for pay bureaus or any business with a centralised print resource".
