The company has developed a means of fabricating counter moulds that it claims is more efficient than anything else on the market.

HGCT has developed a plastic gel that hardens in four to six minutes under UV lights. According to managing director Ben Knelange, the firm is looking for stamp and hot foil stamping suppliers to push the product in the UK.

He said: "Foil stamping or embossing on paper or cardboard is a complicated and time-consuming process and a good counter mould is indispensable.

"The product is aimed at all printers that emboss –  advantages of the machine include its quality and cost savings."
