The German manufacturer launched ProCut 53 last year , claiming that the machine is the first A3 flatbed die-cutter in the world.
Kama has now set about adding "added value" systems to the machine, with the hot-foiling system the first to be launched in the UK.
The hot-foil system can run at up to 5,000 sph. It also features additional applications such as flat hot foil and embossed hot foil, which can be handled in one pass.
Marcus Tralau, chief executive at Kama, said: "With these new options we are offering printers, book binders and die cutters a machine that will enable them to handle the widest range of A3 finishing jobs very flexibly and very profitably.
"Our customers will be able to exploit the wide range of possibilities hot foil stamping offers to create three-dimensional gloss and tactile effects and use that to distinguish their products from those of their competitors."
The new module for A3 format works with four separately controlled heating zones and comes with a choice of one or two independently controlled foil feeders.
The new kit offers hot foil stamping up to 510 x 360 mm, with die cutting up to 510 x 380 mm.
It has a warm-up time for hot-foil stamping of between five and 10 minutes.
