Fairprint moves house to prepare for SM 52

Commercial printer Fairprint is moving to a 1,400 sqm site to make space for a Speedmaster SM 52-8P.

A Suprasetter A52 platesetter with PrintReady automated workflow, a Stahlfolder TA 52 and a Polar 78 XT will also be delivered at the Dundee site.

The press replaces two Sakurai machines, a four- and a two-colour. Managing director Paul Anderson (pictured) said: “We have been looking for workflow expertise throughout the production process, so we have a single point of contact and seamless connectivity.

"We currently generate sales of £1.3m, but with the new front-to-back investment, we believe we can reach £2m within 18 months.”
