CreoScitex has added a new model to its EverSmart scanner range, and will show it for the first time in the UK at Northprint.
The EverSmart Select sits between the firms flagship EverSmart Supreme and its workhorse EverSmart Pro II.
"We felt there was a gap between the Supreme and the Pro II was too big," said CreoScitex UK marketing manager Maria Machera. "Some users wanted the quality of the Supreme without the productivity."
Pricing across the range has also been realigned. The Select costs 21,500, and the price of the Pro II has been reduced to 17,660.
"Scanners are more and more competitive. We want to give customers more for less," said Machera.
Resolution matches the Supreme at 5,600dpi across the whole scanning bed. It has a dynamic range of 3.9D and a Dmax of 4.1 between the Pro II and the Supreme which pulls the maximum quality out of originals using the firms MaxDR and Dynamic Cooling technologies.
For a limited time, it will come with a free copy of CreoScitexs oXYgen Open software. The application, which normally costs 1,760, is based on the firms digital transparency concept for using in a scan-once output-many workflow.
