CreoScitex Europe vice president marketing Boudewijn Neijens has become corporate vice president of marketing, taking on a global role.
He will oversee the entire marketing operation across the firms R&D and manufacturing sites in Israel and Vancouver and its regional offices in America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
"This is a very exciting time," said Neijens. "Every day we make investments to deliver technology and services to our customers. Our marketing strategy will help ensure that we are integrating the products that result from these investments into consistent and valuable market initiatives."
"Its necessary to have someone on a worldwide level now that we are such a global company," said CreoScitex Europe marketing communications manager Katja Mader.
"This reduces duplication and clears up the companys message. It will help fine tune marketing for each region. Our marketing strategy wont change, but it will become more coherent."
Neijens will take up the position, which is based at CreoScitexs headquarters in Vancouver, next month.
CreoScitex Europe is looking for a replacement from outside the firm to fill Neijens role.
In Europe the firm has just appointed Derek Awalt as product marketing manager proofing and colour management systems. Awalt, who was formerly at Iris, replaces Eddy Houba, who was appointed as product marketing director for CreoScitex Europe earlier this year.
The European marketing team is also adding a product marketing manager for computer-to-film products (PrintWeek, 9 March).
* CreoScitex has started to ship the English version of Synapse, an application designed to ensure PDF compatibility and integrity.
CreoScitex UK marketing manager Maria Machera said: "Its designed to facilitate CTP workflow. We identified the single biggest problem associated with adopting CTP as the creation of press-ready PDF files."
Users can create PDF annotations to match the specifications of a print vendor.
