The two iQsmart models are the 10,756 iQsmart2 and the 16,903 iQsmart3. The top-of-the-range iQsmart has a maximum resolution of 5,500dpi and can produce 40 scans per hour (6x7cm originals at 250% and 300dpi).
The two members of the iQsmart scanner range replace the entry-level EverSmart Jazz and the Eversmart Pro II. Creo's top-of-the-range EverSmart Select and Supreme remain as they offer higher resolution, dynamic range and productivity than the iQsmart range. Both new scanners are available now.
Veris is a new from the ground up digital contract proofer. Its a 4pp machine based on Iris continuous ink-jet technology and is claimed to be much faster and offer greater image quality and better consistency than the Iris iPrint, which it will replace later this year, and will cost less.
Through the Veris system proofs that are created with the correct calibration, ICC profile, ink and media carry a stamp on the proof to certify accuracy.
A range of connectivity options are available from an internal RIP for handling PostScript and PDF to inputs from Brisque and Prinergy.
On its stand (Hall 4, Stand 650) Creo is promoting its networked Graphic Production (NGP) and Value in Print (ViP) concepts. NGP aims to link the creative and pre-press workflows into MIS. ViP concentrates on how Creo technologies such as its Staccato FM screening can be used to improve efficiency of the printing process.
