The system was added to the Derby-based company's SM 52-10-P Anicolor and XL 75-10-P presses.

According to Colourstream Litho managing director John Greene, the system provides fast, accurate makeready for inline finishing at press speed.

He said: "From an investment of just a few hundred pounds we have transformed our capability to produce intricate work quickly and efficiently. Instead of purchasing expensive pre-cut labels or sending work out for finishing we’re able to produce labels in one pass, as we print.

"It’s not just for long runs, because we also pre-crease board and pre-cut labels for ultra-short mailings on our Indigo 5500 digital press."
