Inspirepac, which won the Company of the Year (more than 100 employees) and Health and Safety categories, was the afternoon's big winner, closely followed by Webmart's Simon Biltcliffe, who secured Company (less than 100 employees) and Entrepreneur of the Year.
However, the biggest cheers were reserved for Apprentice of the Year ESP Colour's Baden McKenna, who was lauded by BPIF chief executive Michael Johnson for his passion, enthusiasm and initiative.
The lunchtime event hosted at the London Hilton also heard from Dsicmm chief executive Yolanda Noble, Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008, who shared her experiences in the pre-ceremony keynote speech.
