Excellence Awards shortlist released

Judging panel unveils the frontrunners for the 2009 PrintWeek/BPIF business awards

After a rigorous judging process by industry experts and BPIF specialists, which included written submissions, face-to-face interviews and site visits, the 25-strong judging panel has completed the tough task of establishing the worthy winners.

The 37 companies that have made it on to the shortlist for the 2009 BPIF PrintWeek Excellence Awards are listed right.

The winners of the 16 company categories and the 16 individual categories will be revealed at the lunchtime event, to be held at the London Hilton Park Lane, London on 1 July.

The winners in the Lifetime Achievement and Entrepreneur categories will also be revealed on the day.

In addition to the shortlisted companies, the list on the right also gives the names of the candidates for the  Apprentice of the Year award.

Good luck to all the shortlisted firms and individuals and congratulations on having reached the shortlist

In addition to the awards ceremony the event includes a keynote speech by the winner of last year's Entrepreneur and Application of Digital Technology categories Dsicmm's chief executive Yolanda Noble sharing insight into how she and her firm achieved excellence.

Following lunch and the awards, two Q&A panel sessions will cover two topics: people and training; and buying and selling. Panellists include industry experts and previous Excellence Awards winners in the relevant categories to share their expertise and experience.

Spaces for the event are still available priced at £205 per person for BPIF members and £235 for non members. To book a table visit www.bpifprintweekawards.com or contact Kate Collins on 020 8267 8188 or kate.collins@haymarket.com.

Finally, a big thank you to the sponsors of the 2009 Excellence Awards (listed below), whose support has made the event to celebrate and inspire excellence in UK print possible.
