According to the ink developer and manufacturer Greenguard Gold represents the highest level achievable standard for health-based chemical emissions.
Greenguard Gold products have lower total volatile organic compounds (VOC) emission levels, ensuring that the inks are acceptable for interior use in sensitive environments, such as hospitals and schools.
NUtec’s Greenguard Gold-accredited range now includes the Amethyst A20-RTR, the A20-RIG and the A50-RIG UV-curable inks developed for both conventional and LED-UV lamp curing.
Available in CMYK, lights, white and varnish options, the Amethyst Greenguard Gold range features a superior colour gamut for bright, vivid images and eye-catching prints.
The A20-RTR range consists of premium quality, roll-to-roll UV inks designed for a wide range of flexible applications while the high-density A20-RIG range was developed for rigid applications.
Both the A20-RTR and A20-RIG inks are suitable for Ricoh Gen 5, Gen 5s and Gen 6 as well as Kyocera KJ4A printheads.
Developed for rigid substrates, the Amethyst A50-RIG ink range offers excellent media adhesion for use without primer, on a wide variety of materials and is designed for compatibility across a broad range of printhead types, including Fujifilm, Konica Minolta, Xaar, ToshibaTec, Ricoh and Seiko.
“NUtec Digital Ink Greenguard Gold certified products may now be specified with confidence for use on furniture, walls, floors, building materials and interior décor in educational facilities and medical institutions,” said the company.
