Nazdar said its new look reflects the company's celebratory milestone and its commitment to innovation and growth as it embarks on the next 100 years.
Ideas born over a cold one aren’t to be taken seriously are they? Well, they are when you’re talking about John Pottage senior and Ed Owens.
Legend has it that on a blustery Chicago night in 1922, the pair sat together enjoying a beer at their favourite Bohemian bar, ruminating on their futures. When the conversation turned to a unique and obscure decorative process known as screen printing, they hit upon an idea: starting a company to provide screen printing ink.
Immediately, Pottage committed $1,000 to the venture, and the conversation shifted to naming the enterprise. As they contemplated this question, they noticed a coaster on the bar imprinted with the word “Nazdrovia”, the Bohemian word for success.
Today – and 100 years and millions of dollars later – these events have grown into Nazdar, one of the largest printing inks manufacturers in the world.
With manufacturing plants in Shawnee, Kansas and Stockport, UK, and a worldwide distribution network, Nazdar manufactures the most comprehensive range of ink solutions in UV, UV-LED, water-based and solvent-based technologies for the printing industry.
So, perhaps it’s time to pour yourself a cold one and ruminate on who should be your business’s next ink partner.
