Our switch to the Fujifilm FLH-Z series of plate processors has resulted in massive savings in time, cost and chemistry, as well as an improvement in quality. Previously, each processor took about four hours to change per week: a total of 32 hours per month.
Now, as we are only changing the processors once a month, we have just eight hours of downtime. Our previous processors could only process 1,500 plates before the chemistry needed to be changed, which happened, on average, once a week.
Now we are running more than 4,000 plates per processor before cleaning is required, enabling the company to change processor chemistry just once a month. We have reduced our chemistry from 560 litres to only 140 litres a month, a 75% reduction.
I swear by my... Fujifilm FLH-Z
