With immediate effect, the 185µm self-adhesive film for floor graphics now conforms to the European standard (EN 14904) for sports floors in gymnasiums and indoor surfaces for multifunctional sports activities.
Filmolux FGS has been part of Neschen’s product range for more than 15 years and was originally developed for classic photographs and inkjet digital print media.
It was R9 certified in 2015 by the Institute for Occupational Safety (IFA) and has since been a key part of Neschen’s Floor Graphics Solutions portfolio, which encompasses products designed for eye-catching floor advertising.
Neschen product manager Rita Gerhardt said: “We were positive that this surface could pass this EN and therefore sent out samples for testing.
“Now floor graphics can be applied to all types of sports floors with Filmolux FGS.”
Filmolux FGS is made of structured, transparent and scratch-resistant polymeric soft PVC. It has a water-based adhesive which can be adhered to surfaces including wood laminate, ceramic tiles, marble, parquet, screed and high-quality PVC and it can be removed with minimal residue.
It is suitable for printing with solvent, latex and UV curable inks and available in a roll length of 50m and widths of 104cm and 140cm.
Neschen said it recommends the product is used alongside its Solvoprint easy 80 GSP removable and Solvoprint easy 80 GSP nolite medias, which are produced with an easy to remove semi-permanent adhesive.
The firm, which was acquired by German investment group Blue Cap in June, has also recently expanded its range of easy dot products with chalkboard black, a decorative print media where information can be applied with dry or liquid chalk.
