Harris & Bruno makes a range of coating and digital embellishment equipment.
Its coaters are used by a number of press manufacturers including Koenig & Bauer, Komori, RMGT and Landa and it has a substantial installed base in the UK.
Its web coating devices are used by a number of digital manufacturers including Fujifilm, Canon, Konica Minolta and HP.
At Drupa the manufacturer took the wraps off its new A3 to B1 format embellisher, the ExcelCoat ZRX, which combines analogue and inkjet technology.
CyanX managing director Richard Mawson said the fresh partnership was formed after Harris & Bruno president Nick Bruno approached him during Drupa.
Mawson told Printweek: “We worked with Harris & Bruno almost 20 years ago for a previous agent. When Nick Bruno reached out to us at Drupa we were excited to work with them again.
“The equipment has evolved along with many new products and we cannot wait to get started.”
Mawson pointed to the CyanX back story, and said it still rang true with the firm set to celebrate 20 years in business next year: “When well respected global suppliers began to knock on our door rather than us knocking on theirs, that’s when we knew we were doing something right!”
Bruno commented: “We are thrilled to partner with CyanX and are eager to help UK printers ‘Coat With Confidence’ and ‘Embellish With Excellence’.
“CyanX's extensive experience and dedication to supporting the printing industry make them a natural fit for delivering our robust equipment to the market.”
CyanX currently employs six but Mawson said he was likely to expand the team at the Guiseley-headquartered business on the back of the new deal.
“This partnership is likely to take us beyond pre-Covid sales levels,” he added.
The Harris & Bruno product range spans products for the offset, flexo, corrugated and digital printing markets.
CyanX supplies a range of equipment and consumables, and was appointed as UK and Ireland agent for ink dispensing specialist GSE last month.
M&M Set-Off Solutions was previously the Harris & Bruno agent for the UK and Ireland, but Printweek understands that arrangement has come to an end.
