'Connectivity landscape is simplifying'

CoCoCo grows integrations

Ultimate Tech software will be available “soon” to customers via CoConnect.

Connectivity platform CoCoCo has expanded its number of integrations with a new partnership with Ultimate Tech.

Canada-headquartered Ultimate Tech provides specialist software tools that automate imposition, job nesting, cutting and post-press tasks.

Its flagship product is Ultimate Impostrip, which dates back to 1989 and lays claim to being the first digital imposition system.

CoCoCo was founded by three former Zaikio executives and launched earlier this year.

Its connectivity platform is based around three core elements: CoCore an AI-enabled platform that includes data storage; CoConnect for connecting “any software and machine on-site or in the cloud”.

Thirdly, CoCollab will enable rule-based job routing.

The Ultimate Tech software will be available “soon” to all customers via CoConnect.

CoCoCo director Karl Ciz said the integration would provide customers with a “world class imposition option, which works seamlessly alongside other integrations, with minimal setup and integration fuss”.

He commented: “The connectivity landscape is simplifying, it will become ever easier to integrate new and existing print shop assets.

“We are super-happy to be working with world leading solutions providers like Ultimate.”

Regarding take-up by printcos, Ciz told Printweek: “We have a range of Beta customers running in the USA and Europe, and think we'll be able to bring the wider platform to the general print market in February, just a few short months away.

“We have a waiting list that people can subscribe to if they are interested in taking a closer look at the time.”

Ultimate Tech CEO Julie Watson said true end-to-end workflow automation required smart, best-in-class software solutions.

She said: “Inter-connectivity is a key element, and at Ultimate Tech we believe in open solutions, industry standards, and facilitating inter-connectivity. We are happy to offer our customers connectivity to CoConnect.”

CoCoCo’s ready-configured integration kits include Muller Martini Connex, Infigo, Esko, HP T-series presses, Canon PrismaSync, MBO and Tharstern MIS (now part of EProductivity Software).

It also has a strategic partnership with press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer.
