The Xtensions give users the ability to import native .docx or .odt documents, from Microsoft Office 2007 onwards and the Writer component of the OpenOffice suite respectively, directly into QuarkXPress 8, which was launched at Drupa last year.
Users can import their .docx or .odt files into their QuarkXPress document without any attributes, with only three primary attributes (bold, italic and superscript), or with the inclusion of style sheets.
The import filters can be used to import text documents, tables, footnotes and endnotes. Volume licence discounts are available for five-user and 10-user packs.
Both XTensions are available now through XChange UK and its subsidiary, thepowerxchange.com, via electronic delivery worldwide.
