The firm mainly produces four-colour jobs and the 10-colour will allow it to print both sides of the sheet without waiting for them to dry. It will also seal both sides on the fifth unit, according to managing director Tony Walsh.
The firms run lengths range from 100 to more than 100,000.
Walsh Colour Print was established 10 years ago and has always been a Komori house. It now employs 25 staff and offers services from pre-press, where it runs a Creo Lotem 400 platesetter, through to finishing.
At more than 1m, the 10-colour is the companys largest-ever capital investment.
