Taking centre-stage will be the newest model in the Matrix range, the MX 370 DP duplex system with Auto-Feeder. Able to laminate, foil and create spot UV-style effects on SRA3 portrait sheets, the new system is a smaller format model of the award-winning MX 530 pneumatic version - which can also be seen at PWL!.
The Coalville, Leicester-based manufacturer will also showcase its MX 370 pneumatic version with white foil.
The fourth and final machine in the Matrix range on the stand will be the MD 460, loaded with glitter laminate.
The Matrix range of systems can laminate, foil and create UV-style effects for all kinds of digital print and packaging, including business cards, stationery, book covers, security print, and high-end bespoke print.
Vivid said that when used with its own range of Boss lamination films, which include soft-touch, anti-scratch, holographic, new glitter laminates and coloured foils, packaging manufacturers can make “huge savings” by bringing finishing in-house.
Vivid will also use the stand to demonstrate its Easycoat Gluing System, an SRA1 solution that adds a film of adhesive to substrates, allowing them to be layered on top of each other for applications such as luxury packaging or book covers.
The Easycoat device will also boast the new patented Easyguide, a carrier tray which helps to secure the media in place and provide greater accuracy and precision.
The company will not be bringing its Easymount system to the show, but it will display its EMS 650 laminator alongside the Easycoat gluer.
Lastly, it will also unveil a new A5 video book solution – a product so new it doesn’t even have a name yet. Richard Marlow, Vivid’s sales director, said: “We can design, print and produce video books for all kinds of applications. It’s a perfect marketing tool for businesses looking to market their products.”
The Vivid team can be found at Stand G20 at the show.
