Hampshire-based Cardmasters won a silver award in the packaging and labels category for its "Slammery" Christmas mailing package, which was based around a Tequila slammer and printed on 170gsm Magno Star supplied by Howard Smith Paper.
Creative Print won a silver in the general category for "Jaguar Box and Inserts", a promotional mailing item the Southend-based print firm produced for the Jaguar X-type, and printed on behalf of Gary Rowland Associates.
A bronze award in the brochures category went to Cardiff-based Colourprint UK for "Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide Print Ideas", a large-format brochure depicting the advertising agencys global print campaigns.
The awards, which are now in their eighth year and were held in Italy for the second time, received 2,000 entries submitted by 882 printers from 32 different countries.
