Total UK awards PM work to Charterhouse

Total UK has tasked Charterhouse with managing its national print needs in a three-year contract.

The refining and marketing subsidiary of Total, the world's fourth largest energy group, awarded the multi-million pound deal to the print management firm after a competitive tender process, ousting the incumbent, Pressing Matters, which is part of the Paperhat Group.

The deal includes the provision of studio, print management and fulfilment services across 800 service stations and Charterhouse will being its work by auditing each of them to identify efficiencies in the supply chain.

Michael Crane, corporate purchasing project leader at Total UK, said: "We were keen to work with Charterhouse as their team presented a raft of innovative ideas in relation to point-of-sale (POS), local area marketing and improving efficiency. We were also particularly impressed with their end-to-end approach which includes us having an on-site team."

Anthony Hawkins, board director at Charterhouse, added: "We’re delighted to have won the Total UK contract. We have some great ideas to help them cut unnecessary waste from the supply chain and we’re also looking forward to taking their POS to the next level."
