The London-based printer has invested in the machine to output plates for its 15,000sph six-colour B2 Speedmaster CD 74-6+L, which is bought back in 2005.
According to director Peter Cooper, the Suprasetter allows it to run chemistry-free plates, which fits in with the printer's environmental stance.
He said: "We liked the fact the Suprasetter is only using power when it’s imaging.
"This means we can leave the equipment on at night, enabling press operators to call off plates from the press as needed. The energy efficiency is environmentally advantageous but also saves money."
The Borough company produces a range of work such as art catalogues and promotional materials, as well as a range of commercial print. Customers include Centaur Publications, BBC Worldwide and Hawaii Design.
According to Cooper, the new platesetter can output plates at a rate faster than the company can print: "We need to provide a quick, quality service for even the shortest runs and this will enable us to do that."
