St Ives has installed CTP at a third magazine printing plant and plans to put in systems at the remaining three sites in its web offset division once customers are ready.
A CreoScitex Lotem went live at Caerphilly two weeks ago, following its Andover and Plymouth sites, which also have Lotems.
St Ives Web sales director Paul Utting said: "As soon as the majority or some of the key customers at Roche, Peterborough and Gillingham are ready, then we will put CTP in there."
Utting said St Ives had got its CTP strategy right. "If we had put the kit in a year earlier we would have had a lot of it standing around not doing anything for a year. We have been able to do it as our customers have done it, so our systems and working methods are compatible," he added.
Wyndeham Press has also completed the rollout of CTP within its magazine printing division.
The UK's first Screen PlateRite 8600 has been installed at BR Hubbard, joining Agfa Galileos at Impac Litho and The Grange Press, plus a Galileo and Luscher VLFs at ET Heron.
Last week Polestar announced an 8m group-wide investment in CTP.
