MP praises S&G's environmental efforts

Magazine and commercial printer Stephens & George Print Group (S&G) received a visit from an MP last week to discuss the company's environmental policy.

The Merthyr Tydfil-based company, which employs about 250 staff, welcomed local Labour MP Dai Havard to its site on Friday 23 May.

Havard met with managing director Andrew Jones in order to discuss the environmental improvements S&G has made, such as gaining ISO 14001:2004 accreditation, as well as FSC and PEFC certifications.

The MP enjoyed a factory tour of the site, which prints magazines, periodicals, corporate stationery, brochures and many other commercial print items.

Havard's visit was in preparation for the All Party Parliamentary Print Group event on 17 June at the House of Commons (for MPs and Lords only).
