The new machines are in response to an increased demand for UV-cured liquid lamination for front-lit banners and self-adhesive vinyls produced using roll-fed kit. Seal claimed that the ability to process rolls saved processing time and cut waste by eliminating the need to sheet jobs prior to coating.
The two new machines are the AquaSeal 60UV Pro and the 80UV Pro, which are 1,524mm and 2,032mm wide respectively. Both machines run at up to 32m per minute and can apply a coating thickness of between seven and 20 microns.
The roll-feeders and take-ups can support rolls of up to 100kg.
The 60UV Pro costs €63,900 (£55,101), with an additional €13,670 for the roll-to-roll option. The 80UV Pro costs €81,900, with an additional €14,829 for the roll-to-roll option.
A new low-odour UV coating the AquaSeal 900 Supercoat, which is compatible with the latest UV printing technologies, is available in gloss, lustre and matt finishes for €553.30 per 10kg.
