According to the company's managing director Quen Baum, the DigiCoater 33 and DigiCoater 50 will make in-house UV coating "a realistic and profitable proposition for smaller printers".
The DigiCoater 33 takes 33cm wide sheets and is being matched with SRA3 print engines. It comes with three tanks and a coating roller and is fitted with auto wash. It also features gloss and matt coating options and can be used for UV coating and priming. It is available for £17,990.
For companies needing a larger machine, the DigiCoater 50 can take 50cm sheets. Morgana is aiming the machine, which costs £27,490, at both digital and litho printers.
Baum said: "Priced as it is and offering quality gloss, matt or textured finishes, we believe the DigiCoater 33 will be very popular with smaller printers wanting to add value to their product."
