Managing director Steve Hutton said the firm would leave the B1 area to focus on B2 and had plans to install a five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 74. The firm also has a six-colour HP Indigo 1000.
However, he said that some paper groups that had policies of not dealing with phoenix firms were refusing to deal with the firm, despite claims that Ruscombe can pay cash on delivery.
I support the idea of not dealing with phoenixes, but Ruscombe is completely different to that. We have an honourable reputation this was a genuine attempt to save jobs, said Hutton.
Receivers from Kroll had made 12 redundancies at the firm (PrintWeek, 24 July).
