Neston, Chester-based Rovert made the decision to broaden its booklet line after being impressed with Duplo's DBM-120 model at a recent 'New Products Dealer Launch Day' in Bolton.
Rovert managing director David Codling told printweek.com that the bookletmaker excelled in its "simplicity of use".
"What was so impressive was how easy the Duplo was to set up, as well as the fact that it's automatic," he said.
The 36-year-old firm already supplies Horizon, Nagel and, primarily, Plokmatic bookletmakers, but this is its first supply deal with Duplo for booklet makers.
The installation took place at the Emrys ap Iwan school in North Wales, where the machine is being used to produce a range of educational brochures for in-house. The operators said they were "very happy" with the speed and quality of the DBM-120.
Codling added: "The DBM-120 is the first machine we've installed, but it most definitely won't be the last. The quality of the kit is a great addition to the range."
The Duplo bookletmaker offers an operating speed of 2,400 A5 booklets per hour and four modes of operation, including corner stapling, folding and saddlestitching.
Duplo marketing manager Peter Jolly said: "We look forward to working in tandem with Rovert to further establish our relationship."
