The Purfleet, Essex-based printer installed the machine after finding that a smaller bookletmaker wasn't meeting demand.
Collective Colour sales director Chris Le Core told printweek.com: "We're doing a hell of a lot of book work. It's so much easier as [the Duplo] can cope with everything from CD size up to A4, and because it's wire-fed, you don't have to mess around with staples.
"It's the nearest thing to a Muller without being a Muller."
The bookletmaker and trimmer are connected to an HP Indigo 3050 and will be tasked with producing anything from small-sized booklets to poster work.
Le Core said the machine is so easy enough to operate that he can put any of the 20 staff on it.
"It's almost a green button machine," he said. "It just needs a little bit of fine adjustment, but it's so simple."
Alongside booklets and posters, Collective Colour also produces a range of other work, including prospectuses for schools, for its roster of blue-chip clients in the education, charity, corporate and greetings card sectors.
Le Core said the company is also growing its variable-data workload and is upskilling its staff to cope with the more sophisticated demands of database management
Collective Colour has a turnover in the region of £1.7m.
