Roland DG to showcase diverse range at Sign & Digital

Roland DG says it will showcase its "increasingly diverse portfolio", including the print-and-cut VersaCamm series and the VersaArt RS-640, at this year's Sign & Digital UK.

The manufacturer will also be exhibiting the 30in VersaUV LEC-300, which is claimed to be the industry's first wide-format UV inkjet printer/cutter.

The entry-level RS-640 machine is designed for the production of large outdoor posters and banners and can handle substrates ranging from vinyl to textiles.

The four-colour machine prints at speeds of up to 21.4m2 an hour and supports banner media weights up to 470gsm.

The 30in VersaUV LEC-300 machine can print CMYK, white and clear coat. It can produce different printed textures such as crocodile skin and faux leather.

Brett Newman, head of product management at Roland DG (UK), said: "This year, Roland DG's focus at Sign & Digital UK is on demonstrating how our broad and increasingly diverse portfolio can offer users an almost exhaustive range of applications."

He added: "We want to make sure users are aware of all the possibilities and that these machines are being used to their full potential. Our aim is to help our customers build businesses that will make them more money."

Sign & Digital UK take place at the NEC, Birmingham from 28-30 April.
