Reproflex takes delivery of Creos Veris proofing

Reproflex 3 has become the first UK packaging firm to install Creos Veris digital proofing system.

The Northumberland firm installed Veris in September this year, to produce colour accurate proofs for its flexo packaging work.

The firm was the first in the world to take an end-to-end flexo pre-press set-up from Creo in a 300,000 deal in April this year (PrintWeek, 1 April).

"In my opinion Veris produces superior digital proofs fast, accurately and simply, verifying what will happen on press," said Reproflex 3 joint managing director Andrew Hewitson.

The complete Veris system includes the latest Creo ICC profiling software Profile Wizard Mio, which acts to simplify the production of bespoke ICC profiles.

The Veris proofer ensures reliable proofs with its Creo Certified Process. When a proof is printed, it checks the system has been calibrated and that it matches the correct media and ink along with the ICC profile.

Certified by SWOP, FOGRA and the Periodical Publishers Association, Veris can create high resolution, 1,500dpi contone proofs, based on Creo's Multi-Drop Array ink-jet technology.

Once complete, a certified process stamp is then printed on the proof, along with critical proofing parameters to ensure greater accuracy.
