The rebrand, which has involved a move away from a magenta logo to a green colour scheme, is also aiming to raise the profile of sustainable print production within the industry.
According to Paul Evans, project director of PrintIT!, it was important to "project the industry’s commitment to sustainability and the environment" into the course.
He said: "The new vivid green logo enables us to maintain PrintIT!’s strong brand identity and core objective of attracting young, talented people into print, while reflecting a new direction based on the importance of sustainability in the utilisation of printed material and print production."
To further promote the new identity, a PrintIT! competition will ask students to create a print-based eco-friendly campaign that can promote Fairtrade products in supermarket stores.
Finalists and teachers will have the chance to attend the annual awards ceremony at Ipex 2010 on 22 May 2010 at the NEC Birmingham.
